Terms of Service

Welcome to Qataroom. These Terms are an agreement between you and the Qataroom team (“Qataroom”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Qataroom.

  1. What Qataroom is Qataroom is a realtime, community-driven social app for metro riders — see who’s on your line, send “pings”, and view a crowd-calibrated timetable. Qataroom is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any metro authority or transit operator. Information in the app (including presence and timetables) is community-sourced and provided for convenience only.

Safety: Do not rely on Qataroom for safety-critical or time-critical decisions. Always follow official signage, announcements, and staff. Timetable and presence information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. 2. Eligibility You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to use Qataroom. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.

  1. Your account You sign in with Apple or Google and choose a public @username. You’re responsible for activity on your account. Keep your sign-in secure, and let us know of any unauthorised use. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account).

  2. Acceptable use Qataroom is a shared space. You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other riders; Impersonate any person, brand, official, or the metro operator; Post or transmit hateful, obscene, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable content, including in usernames, bios, or any text; Spam, flood pings, or interfere with the service or other users’ experience; Break the law, infringe others’ rights, or encourage others to do so; Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt our systems, or use bots/automated access without permission. 5. Content and moderation You’re responsible for the content you create (usernames, bios, pings, moods). By posting it, you grant us a limited licence to display and distribute it within the app to operate the service.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We provide tools to report content or users, and we may remove content, reset usernames, or suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms — at our discretion and, where appropriate, without notice. We aim to review reports promptly.

  1. Location Some features use your device location, while the app is open, to verify you’re at a station. You control this permission in your device settings. See our Privacy Policy for how location is handled (it’s processed on your device and not stored as raw coordinates).

  2. Service availability & changes Qataroom is provided “as is”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in your area.

  3. Disclaimers TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QATAROOM IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT TIMETABLE OR PRESENCE INFORMATION IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

  4. Limitation of liability TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QATAROOM AND ITS TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION IN IT.

  5. Termination You may stop using Qataroom and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other riders.

  6. Governing law These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections you may have where you live.

  7. Changes to these Terms We may update these Terms. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
